{HTEXT} Asylum Choir II Marc Benno Price $ 11.97 If you ever wanted to know what Leon Russell and Marc Benno were up to before they became stars, here is one of the discs. Containing the entire second Asylum recordings with five recordings from the "Look Inside the Asylum Choir" album (not on CD now or probably ever), "Asylum Choir II" shows Leon & Marc at their eclectic best. "Lady in Waiting," "Hello Little Friend," "Sweet Home Chicago" and "Straight Brother" (actually a guilty pleasure are just great tracks. "Welcome to Hollywood" (from the "Look Inside..." album) is another excellent track which shows Leon and co-hort Marc Benno attempting to be studio wizards. And while they never really made it to Lennon-McCartney status, it's a fun ride all the same. By the way, dig the "Intro to Rita..." banter with Leon and Rita Coolidge. Heavy!

{HTEXT} Minnows [Import] Marc Benno Price $ 22.49 Minnows is an early release by Marc soon after the Asylum Choir albums. Ten great self penned songs highlighted by Put A Little Love In My Soul & Stone Cottage (one of Marc's best). Anything you can find of Marc's is well worth it and shows the various styles not only Benno but all Texas Artists enjoy. Keep it up Benno!
